Miami is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Miami peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. I recently had the opportunity to visit Oriental Nursery Farm located in the heart of Miami, and it was an experience worth sharing. Nestled on SW 187th Ave, the nursery is an oasis of greenery that immediately welcomes visitors with a vast selection of plants and a serene atmosphere. Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was the meticulous organization of the space. Plants are categorized by type, making it easy for even a novice gardener to navigate. From vibrant flowering plants to an impressive collection of ornamental shrubs and trees, thereβs something for everyone. What truly caught my attention was their selection of oriental plants, providing a unique touch to the local Miami landscape. The staff at Oriental Nursery Farm deserve special mention. Knowledgeable, friendly, and always eager to help, they ensured that I left with not just plants but also valuable gardening tips. Their expertise was evident in the way they addressed my queries, making recommendations based on my specific needs. Additionally, the nursery was immaculately maintained. Clean pathways, well-watered plants, and clear labeling are just a few indicators of the care and dedication put into this esta

This was a great experience. The lady was very kind, and showed us the many types of plants for Bonsai. Call the number on the fence, if not open. They should have a big Bonsai sign, since we had driven by earlier, and only noticed the big bright pottery. She is from Vietnam, and it is obvious that she loves her plants. Most of the smaller plants in nursery pots , some already being trained, start at about $7-10 each, and smaller bonsai in nice pots start at $30. Some larger plants are also available. We will certainly return next year. Better signage and grouping of species would help, especially since some are tropical, and I was not familiar with them.
